Sara M. Heess Obituary
Sara Marshall Heess, 100, of Oxford, formerly of Kennett Square, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford.
Born in Rosedale, Kennett Twp., PA, she was the daughter of the late C. Sharpless and Hanna Chambers Marshall.
Sara was a graduate of Kennett High School, George School in Bucks County, and The Illman School, Philadelphia after a two year course for teacher training.
She taught kindergarten with Lillian Armour at the State Street Friends Meeting House and at the Hesscott Kindergarten in Kennett Square for 14 years.
She attended Kennett Friends Meeting.
She is survived by one son, Richard M. Heess of Spring City; one daughter, Janet R. Palmer of Schnecksville; five grandchildren, Scott M. Heess of Bethlehem, Nathan S. Heess of Lincoln University, Jeffrey A. Palmer of Durham, NC, Laurie E. Bonner of Hanover, MD and Eric L. Palmer of Downingtown; and five great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private.
